James Bennett ("Jim") Dobbs was the son of Bennett and Francis (Butler) Dobbs. He married Anna Mae Dyas on March 23, 1918 in Colorado City, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army in France during World War I. He died from peritonitis at the age of 29. He is buried near his parents and his sister-in-law Leona (Dyas) Dozier who served as a nurse in the Army during World War I.
