LANCASTER, Wis. -- Isabelle C. Kreiser, 98, of Lancaster, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at the Lancaster Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at St. Clement's Catholic Church, Lancaster, with the Rev. William Seipp officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement's Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The Schwartz Funeral Home, Lancaster, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1911, in Potosi, daughter of Charles and Mary (Miller) Pitzen. Isabelle attended school at Ss. Andrew-Thomas in Potosi.
She married Frederick H. "Ted" Kreiser on Sept. 11, 1934, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tennyson; he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1966. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Potosi. They moved to Lancaster where Isabelle was employed with the Terwilliger family for over 50 years.
Isabelle was a member of St. Clement's Catholic Church and was very strong in her faith.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, community and church.
Surviving are her children, Merlin (Elizabeth) Kreiser, of Winston Salem, N.C., Ruth Ann (Kenneth) Runde, of Platteville; four grandchildren, Merlin (Claire) Kreiser Jr., Sharon (Rick) Long, Philip (Monica) Kreiser and Steven (Jennifer) Uppena; three great-grandchildren, Amanda Uppena, Jordan Kreiser and Jonathon Kreiser; her sisters, Dolores (Marcus) Laufenberg, of Cassville, Dorothy (Norbert) Burggraf, of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Lucille Edge, of Superior; and other relatives and many friends.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Mildred (Lester) Reuter, Esther (John) Adams, Leo (Bernice) Pitzen, Marie (Tony) Udelhoven, Frederick (Marion) Pitzen, Edward (Margaret) Pitzen, Donald (Mildred) Pitzen, Gladys Pitzen, Herold Pitzen and Florence (Louis) Leibfried.
