Bertrand - Funeral services were held today for Miss Laura Allen Barry in the McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Burial followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston.
Miss Barry, 97 years old, a resident of a Bertrand nursing home, died Sunday in a Sikeston hospital following an extended illness.
She was born April 30, 1873, in Meade County, Ky. She had been a resident of Mississippi County in 1878, and was a member of the Wyatt United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two nephews, Robert B. Buyrne and Hunter Buyrne and two great-nephews.
