John A. Ross, father of Mrs. Leo Callery of Princeville, passed away at 6:15 Sunday morning at his home a mile west of Elmwood.
Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Elmwood. Fr. Daniel Sheenan officiating. Burial was in the Calvary cemetery at Brimfield.
John A. Ross was born in Bloomington Jan 20, 1872, a son of Robert and Elizabeth Daley Ross. He lived in the Princeville community until 1930 when, with his family, he moved to Elmwood. He had been suffering from a heart ailment for about a year.
Mrs. Ross preceded him in death in 1932. Left to mourn his passing are three children--Mrs. Callery, and Mary and Charles Ross of Elmwood. He also leaves six grandchildren.
