Funeral services will be held at Abingdon Church Friday at 11 a.m. for Mrs. Sarah Ann Adams, wife of the late William O. Adams, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martha D. Stubblefield, in Newport News early Wednesday morning after a long illness.
Mrs. Adams, who lived in Gloucester County for some time, is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Stubblefield, Mrs. F. F. Bodeker of Richmond, and Mrs. J. H. Vermilye of Whipple, Ariz., and by two granddaughters, Sarah Ann Haynes and Mary Whittington.
The funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. H. S. Osburn and the sermon will be preached by the Rev. H. L. Corr. The interment will be in Abingdon Cemetery, with Wade Stubblefield, Alvin Leigh, John Haynes, Bennie Leigh and Foster Leigh as pallbearers.
