Teresa H. Avery, age 84, of Tuscaloosa, died June 28, 2009, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sylvan Methodist Church Cemetery with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home
.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Randall Adams; her first husband, Mart Adams; and second husband, Frank Avery.

Survivors include her son, Macks Wade Adams (Vit); daughter, Cynthia A. Bridges (Wayne); stepdaughters, Brenda Carpenter and Diane Crocker; brother, Dewitt Harris (Orene); three grandchildren, Steve Bridges, Scott Bridges and Chad Bridges; four step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, Zane Turner, Ali Bridges, Kaelyn Bridges, Caylee Golden and Dillon Montgomery; and seven step-great grandchildren.

She was a wonderful caring person and she was loved by everyone.

Pallbearers will be Steve Bridges, Scott Bridges, Chad Bridges, Jerry Adams, Kenny Harris, Keith Harris, David Harris, Raymond Harris, and Joe Harris.

Honorary pallbearers are Bobby and Kathy Wyatt, Chapel Hill Baptist Church, Sylvan Methodist Church, Dr. Lee Thomas, Tuscaloosa Teachers Credit Union, Ricky Harris, Robert Burns, Dr. Ronald McCormick, Dot Elder, all of her nieces and nephews, Dock Taylor, Dr. Joe Sherrill and Sallie, Amanda Golden, Patsy Lake, Jennifer Larson, Dorothy Jean Matherson, Beth Simpson, and friends of Fosters-Ralph and Livingston communities.
