HARTMAN SERVICES FRIDAY
Mrs. Sarah A. Hartman, aged 86, widow of the late Samuel Hartman, passed away at her home, 1504 Northwest Third Street, Thuesday, evening after a short illness. Mrs. Hartman has lived in this community for thirty years and for the past eleven in Abilene. She is survived by four daughters and five sons. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home and at 2:30 from the church at Holland the Rev. C. A. Shank officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah Hartman
Sarah Ann Warfel was born August 7, 1847, near Ringgold, Maryland.
She was the second child of Philip and Mary Warfel. She was united in marriage to Samuel Harman on December 24, 1867. To this union ten children were born, six sons and four daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Hartman made their home near Hagerstown, Maryland, until the year of 1903 when they moved to Abilene, Kansas. She united with the church of the Brethren in 1867, being a faithful member until the death angel took her home on October 17, 1933, aged 86 years, two months and ten days, seven years and seven days after the passing of her husband.
In 1930 one son, Edward, preceded her. Those surviving her are Mrs. John Bovey, Fred Hartman, Mrs. E. A. Myers, Mrs. T. A. Darling, Abilene; C. H. Hartman of McPherson; Mrs. Clarence Williams of Hagerstown, Maryland; Wilmer Hartman, Chambersburg, PA., Harvery Hartman, Glendora, Calif., also two sisters and three brothers, forty-four grandchildren, and twenty-six great grandchildren.
