Karen S. Quick, 67, Allouez, went home to Heaven on Saturday, Jan. 23rd, 2010. Karen was born to Meta (Seifert) and Paul Hoffman in Port Washington on September 24th, 1942. She was one of four children. She attended Orchard Grove Elementary School and graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1960.
Karen was employed at Prevea Clinic in Green Bay for eight years. Prior to working at Prevea, she worked at the Hmong Association of Brown County for five years.
Karen enjoyed playing bingo, scratching lottery tickets and was an avid reader. She was an extreme Packer fan and enjoyed watching the games with her family. She also liked to watch NASCAR and was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan.
Survivors include her children, Jim & Chris Quick, Denmark; Chrissy & Dan Harvey, Manitowoc; Jerry Quick, St. Nazianz; Bob & Shelly Quick, Bellevue; and Brian & Michelle Quick, Denmark; her grandchildren, Joshua Quick, Danielle (Ricky) VanGheem, Eric Quick, Jordan Quick, Lily, Ella and Max Quick; she was also excited about the upcoming arrival of her great-grandchildren in May. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Hoffman of Chilton, and many nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Meta Hoffman; her brother, Paul Hoffman; and her sister, Betty Gasser.
Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, East-Town location, 2379 East Mason St., Green Bay, from 4 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26th. Funeral Service 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Dave Pleier officiating. Inurnment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers.
