According to a statement made by M.V. Ryan, with whom the deceased roomed, Pearrell came into the kitchen Wednesday night about 9 o'clock and stated that he was going for a short ride in his automobile. He went to the garage in the rear. At 5:30 o'clock Thursday morning, according to Ryan, he became anxious about his friend and went to the garage, where he found Pearrell standing on the running board of the automobile and the upper part of his body sagging over the front seat. Ryan notified the police.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Miss Carrie Pearrell of Martinsburg; and a sister, Mrs. Howard Ringer, Chestnut street.
