Mr. Armon "Earl" Cloud age 61, of Marianna passed away on Wednesday,January 20, 2010 in the Lake City, Florida Veterans Hospital. Mr. Cloud was born March 20, 1948 in Marianna to the late James Robert Cloud and Laura Brogdon. He was a member of Damascus Freewill Baptist Church and the American Legion in Alford. He was retired from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department as a Captain. Mr. Cloud was a veteran of the Viet Nam War having served his country in the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his services. Mr. Cloud loved his family, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed farming and tinkering around the shed. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert and Laura Cloud; father-in-law, Leo Harwell; sister-in-law, Glenda Emberton and his brother-in-law, Carl DiPasquale. Mr. Cloud is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Linda Cloud of Marianna; his daughter, Amanda Michele Cloud of Pensacola, special friend; Taner Hanna of Pensacola; one brother, Jimmy Cloud and wife Jonnie of Marianna; three sisters, Jeanette DiPasquale of Mexico, Missouri, Judy Cloud of Marianna and Annette Jackson of Cottondale; his mother-in-law, Christine Harwell of Marianna, his brother-in-law Nick Harwell and wife Michelle of Lake City, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Cloud will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 23, 2010 in the Damascus Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Powell officiating. Family will receive friends Friday, January 22, 2010 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Damascus Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
