Phyllis Gay (Polite) Cadion, age 71, peacefully passed away in "the arms of Jesus" on Monday, January 25, 2010, at University Village Nursing Center. Phyllis was born August 21, 1938, in Tulsa, OK to Dick and Lois Polite. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1957. She attended the University of Tulsa and later received an associate degree from Tulsa Community College. One of the greatest joys was being the wife of Lt. Col. William 0. Cadion until his death in 1973. She along with daughter, Kimberly traveled throughout and lived in Germany, Korea, Ft. Bragg, NC, and Washington DC while William was in the service. Phyllis was a member of Tulsa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, OK Chapter of National Huguenot Society and Army Gold Star Wives. She leaves behind three sisters, Loretta and Joe Bourland, Marilyn and Ray Biery, Donna and Dion Gantt; one brother, Dick Polite, Jr.; also a host of nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Special Olympics, Attn: Web Gifts, 1133 19th St. NW, 12th Floor, Washington DC 20036-3604. Private family services are to be held.
