Charlotte "Charity" Langley Wood
Charity was the daughter of Noah Langley and Annie Self. She married Andrew Wood on February 19, 1824 in Hall County, Georgia. They had six children. Charity was part Cherokee Indian.
During the early 1840's Andrew and Charity left Georgia and traveled with their Daughter Priscilla Wood and her husband Sam Boyd through Nashville, Tennessee where their daughter Parthenia Wood met her husband Francis Qualls and married in 1846. They would later move on to Hartville, Missouri and stayed a few years there.
Charity's husband died in Hartville and she moved on with her son-in-law Sam Boyd and daughter Priscilla to Madison, Arkansas then into Ozark, Missouri. She lived with her grandson William Boyd and his first wife Martha Marley until she died.
There is no stone for her in Vaughn, but she should be buried next to her grandson William Boyd.
