Sammy Littleton's obit., from The Richmond Missourian, Sept. 21, 1939. Word has been received here of the death of Sammy Littleton, 26 years old, former Richmond man, at Chariton, Iowa, in an accident Tuesday afternoon. He had lived in Richmond almost all of his life, until three years ago. Mr. Littleton had been on several Hill-Billy radio programs.
He is survived by four brothers; Frank, Vaughn, Tom, and Ebert Littleton of Richmond; his mother, Mrs. Louise Halterman of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Levi Trego of Hardin and Mrs. William Craig of Richmond.

SAMUEL L. LITTLETON

Samuel Leon Littleton, son of Samuel Leon and Louise Littleton, was born in Hardin, Mo., Dec. 12, 1913, and departed from this life near Chariton, Iowa, on Sept. 19, 1939, at the age of 25 years, 9 months and 7 days.

He was united in marriage to Eva Pauline Pulley at Lancaster, Mo., on October 22, 1938. He came to Iowa about four years ago and had since lived in this vicinity.

Surviving him are his wife, mother, four brothers, Frank, Vaughn, Tom and Ebert, of Richmond, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Trego, of Hardin, Mo., and Mrs. Etta Craig, of Richmond, Mo.; and other relatives and a host of friends His father preceded him in death.
