Funeral services for Mrs. Runette Fowler Edge, 60, of Lake Mary, Florida,
formerly of Danville and Cochran, who died early Thursday morning in the
Bleckley Memorial Hospital following a brief illness, were held Saturday morning
at eleven o'clock at the Lucy Chapel Methodist Church in Twiggs County. The
services were conducted by Elder Cecil Darity and Rev. Richard Travick. Burial
was in the family lot in the Lucy Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Edge was born in Twiggs County and lived in Bleckley County a number of
years before moving to Florida thirty years ago. She was a member of the
Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse F. Edge of Lake Mary, Fla.; three
daughters, Mrs. Sallie Mae Fulghum of Oveido, Fla. Mrs. Voncile Worthington of
Pikeville, Tenn., and Mrs. Ouida Kennedy of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren
and one great-grandchild; one brother, John Henry Fowler of Danville; two
sisters, Mrs. Mary lou Knight of Hawkinsville and Mrs. Lizzie Hamm of Warner
Robins.
The pallbearers were Jesse Franklin Howell, Fred Howell Jr., Frank Howell,
Willie A. Fowler, Ronald Edge, and Larry Edge.
Fisher Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
