VALLEY FALLS --- Dorothy Alice Damme, 92, Valley Falls, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at a Topeka hospital.

Mrs. Damme taught in elementary schools in Hoyt, Meriden and Valley Falls until retiring in 1974.

She was born June 11, 1909, in Soldier, the daughter of Myron L. and Kathryn Elizabeth Bahret Eaton.

Mrs. Damme was a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 652, the Young Women's Christian Association, the Forget-Me-Not Club, the Get Together Club and the Priscilla Club, all in Valley Falls. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa teachers sorority.

She married Arnold J. Damme on June 16, 1933. He died Aug. 21, 1977. Mrs. Damme also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Beverly Rose Damme, May 30, 1934.

Survivors include a sister, Madeline Gragg, Valley Falls.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will be in Hoyt Cemetery.

VALLEY FALLS --- Dorothy Alice Damme, 92, Valley Falls, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at a Topeka hospital.
