Virginia Sue Harris, 76, of Waco, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Saint Catherine's Nursing Home in Waco. Graveside services will be at 1:30p.m. Monday, March 14, at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr.
Mrs. Harris was born June 19, 1928 to Kindred Pearson Crouch and Lucy Ann Crouch in Lacy-Lakeview. She attended Lacy-Lakeview schools and graduated from Waco High School in 1948. She married Danny Dale Harris on Sept. 5, 1952 and traveled with her husband in the military for 20 years. After the end of her husband's military service, the couple resided in Robinson. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper until she resigned to take care of of father. She was a devoted member of the Sun Valley Church of Christ. She was a avid Bible researcher and taught Bible studies throughout the world by internet.
Sue was preceded in death by her loving parents, Kindred Pearson and Lucy Crouch; sisters, Annie May Crouch and Maurice Crouch; and brothers, Franklin Taylor Crouch, William Henry Crouch and James Cecil Crouch.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Dale Harris; sisters, Melba Herring and Hazel Martin; brother, Hardy Crouch; sister-in-laws, Gipsie Crouch, Lillian Bilton and Edie Allred; and her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that all memorials be donations to worthy causes.
