William Trussel, 79, Died Monday Morning at Blackford Hospital
Montpelier, Ind., May 15. - William Charles Trussel, 79, widely known west Green street resident, died at 7 o'clock Monday morning at the Blackford county hospital in Hartford City where he had been admitted for treatment last week. Death was attributed to infirmities of his advanced age.
Born in Marion, December 25, 1865, he was a son of William and Hannah Price Trussel. His marriage to Emma Wood took place November 25, 1888, and last year, the couple observed their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary.
Survivors besides the widow are three daughters and five sons. They are: Mrs. Grace Hart, of Horace, Kan., Mrs. Ruth Custance, and Miss Irene Trussel, of Fort Wayne, Arthur Trussel, John Trussel, both of Hartford City, Ralph Trussel, of Houston, Texas, Donald and Kenneth Trussel, both of Montpelier.
The body was brought to the Robbins funeral home in Montpelier, and later will be returned to the west Green street residence to lie in state.
Funeral services have been set for 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church with the pastor, the Rev. V. O. Vernon, officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. The body will be removed to the church one hour before time of the services.
