"Mrs. Barbara A. Von Almon, widow of Ulrich Von Almon, died Wednesday evening at her home on the Corydon pike, west of New Albany, on the farm on which she had lived for more than sixty years and in the house occupied by her nearly that length of time. She was a native of Switzerland, having been born there eighty-six years ago. She leaves ten children, thirty-two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The children are: Christopher Von Almon, Felix Von Almon, Mrs. Louise Streepey, Mrs. Bena Biel, and Mrs. Martha Weber, of New Albany; Mrs. Anna Richter and Emil Von Almon, of Louisville; Mrs. Elizabeth Keplinger, of Ladoga, Ind.; Mrs. Ida Leaf, of Festus, Mo., and Mrs. Ollie Breutigan, of Chattanooga, Tenn."
