JAMES S. "JIM" ADKINS, 53, of Cincinnati, formerly of Huntington, died Wednesday in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Cincinnati. He was a laborer. Survivors include one son, James Jeremy Adkins of Huntington; two daughters, Amy Renee Adkins and Beth Ann Cordle, both of Huntington; four brothers, Charles Adkins of Catlettsburg, Ky., Roberts Adkins and Randy Adkins, both of Huntington, and Rick Adkins of Beckley; and six sisters, Betty Davis of Lakeland, Fla., Mary Hintze of Yale, Mich., Lois Poole of St. Petersburg, Fla., Joy Trippett and Robin Adkins, both of Huntington, and Freda McGuffin of South Point, Ohio. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville; burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, South Point
