He was born Oct. 7, 1883 at Davistown, the son of the late Minor and Elizabeth Headley Stoneking.
His wife, Effie Carper Stoneking, preceded him in death on Dec. 13, 1969.
He was a retired gas pipeline foreman, and a member of the Morgantown Church of Christ, Morgantown, W. Va.
Surviving are two sons, James A. of Dilliner and Minor of Willoughby, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Lee (Elizabeth) Dusenberry, Dilliner, Mrs. Fred (Evelyn) Keeney, St. Albans, W. Va., Mrs. Richard (Irma) Hamilton of Madison, Ohio and Mrs. Charles (Vonnie) Donley of McKeesport; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild.
In addition to his wife, two brothers, Raymond and William, and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Knotts and Mrs. Alice Livengood, are deceased.
