RITES SET FOR MRS. JONES 80
Illness Fatal to St. Paul Woman

Mrs. Flora Bell Jones, 80, a resident of St. Paul, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of her son, Ben Weidner. 408 Walker street, Shelbyville.
In ill health for three years, she had been in a serious condition for a year.
She had formerly lived in both the Letts and Westport communities before locating at St. Paul several years ago. She was a member of the Bethel Separate Baptist church.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shipp, she was born in Decatur county on May 9, 1872. She was united in marriage to William Weidner, who preceded her in death in 1902. To this union four children were born of whom two survive. They are; Ben Weidner, of Shelbyville and John P. Weidner, of New Jersey.
Her marriage to John P. Jones occurred in 1903. He passed away in 1944. They were the parents of six children of whom five survive. They are: Merle Jones, Orville Jones and Forrest Jones of Indianapolis, Mrs. Dora Monroe, of Shelby County and Mrs. Naomi Trietsch, of Anderson.
Besides the children she is survived by four step-children, Mrs. Ethel McDonald and Mrs. Martha Greeson of St. Paul. Roy A. Jones of Milford and Mrs. Zella Paul, of St. Omer; 35 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Jones was the last of a family of 11 children.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Carmony Funeral Home in Shelbyville Saturday with the Rev. Harger, pastor of the Calvery Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be made in the Van Pelt Cemetery.
