Michael O. Bobb, 61, of Milton, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Kramm Health Care, Milton, where he lived since May 2008.
He was born April 17, 1948, in Sunbury, a son of Marlin O. and Emma D. (Rebuck) Bobb, of Herndon. On June 14, 1969, he married the former Helen M. Burns, who survives. They celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Michael was a 1966 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School, now Line Mountain, and a 1969 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College with an associate degree in graphic arts. He was a member of Gamma Epsilon Tau Fraternity while attending college.

He was employed by the Brodart Co., Williamsport, and then Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg, as a printer, retiring in 1990 after 17 years of service.

He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and the National Railway Historical Society since 1975. Michael had a love of trains since he was 4.
Michael loved spending time with his friends and his sons, traveling together to various places throughout the Northeast and the Midwest to capture on film various railroads and excursion trains. He also had a love of history and would do research on local railroads and other history-related items. He enjoyed photography and videography and many family events and activities over the years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael J. and wife Barbara Bobb, of Cumberland, Md., and Matthew J. Bobb and his companion, Hannah Mitch, of Mifflinburg; three grandchildren, Alan, Evan and Katrin; one brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Debra Bobb, and one sister, Rebecca Heath, all of Herndon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Allison Guinter, in 2008.

Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, Milton, followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Dale Hippensteel officiating.

Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
