Sarah Ann Elizabeth Rouse Robershaw Bass was the daughter of John W. and Frances A. Sanford Rouse (burials unknown). Her birthdate on her headstone is incorrect...it says she was born December 7, 1851 in Haralson, Georgia. However, she is listed with her parents on the 1850 census and is 2 years old which would have made her born in about 1849. In June of 1870 she married Mundy/Monday Robershaw in Cherokee County, Alabama. They moved to Georgia very soon after they married and had three known children:

*William Wesley Robershaw
After Monday's death, she moved to Calhoun County, Alabama and married Riley L. Bass in about 1881. They then lived in Cherokee County, Alabama until Sarah's death in 1920.
