Sallie Alfreda Bodin was born June 5, 1885 in Vilas, Ks. Married Leonard Ripley Riley in Jan. 1904. They lived a short time in Iola, Ks and Coffeyville, Ks and then on various farms around Humboldt, Ks. Leonard worked for the Monarch Cemet Co. After his death, Freda moved into town and worked at various jobs, mostly sewing or nursing ,putting her three young daughters through school. She later moved to Chanute. She died April 11, 1962. Her and Leonard are buried in Humboldt.
