Mrs. Letha Katherine Shook, 80, died Oct 14, 1987 in Waco TX in her home. Services at Third Street Baptist church, burial in Rosemound Cemetery. Mrs. Shook was born in Lexington TX on March 20, 1907. In 1927 she moved to Waco TX and married A.M. (Jack) Shook and lived in Waco the rest of her life. For 59 year she was a member of Third Street Baptist church, where she taught Sunday school and was in the choir. Survivors; daughters, Jackie Lake of Yellville Ark. and Letha LaRue Whatley of Waco TX; son Alvin Douglas Shook of Dallas TX; sister, Alpha Baker of San Antonio TX; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
