Warren was KIA on a Bomber Raid to Bremen, Germany, when they were hit and the plane went down on Nov 26, 1943, and he is honored with the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal.
