Brian P. Wimmler, 64, of Sheboygan, passed away January 27, 2010 at HospiceCare Inc. in Madison.
Brian was born September 25, 1945 in Sheboygan to the late Harold and Loretta (Wolters) Wimmler.
He graduated from South High School in 1964.
He then joined the U.S. Air Force serving as a medic in the Philippines.
On April 29, 1972 he married Sandra Rieck at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
In the early 70's he worked as a country western D.J. in Plymouth. He was employed in car sales for 28 years at Van Horn Hyundai, the last 17 years as Sales Manager. He worked until his retirement in July of 2009. He always took great pride in his job, mentoring his co-workers and serving his customers.
He loved visiting his daughters and was always very proud of them. He religiously called each daughter every Sunday. He was a proud Golden Gopher football season ticket holder and avid Green Bay Packer fan. He also enjoyed riding his bike and taking walks. He had a great appreciation of music and radio, especially Garrison Keillor. He took great pleasure in having a brandy old fashion sweet while grilling brats over Grove Charcoal.
He is survived by his three beloved daughters, Sara (fiancé, Stuart) Wimmler of Mazomanie, WI, Michelle Wimmler of Wauwatosa, Kathryn (Wes) Bonine of Eden Prairie, MN; the love of his life, Sandy Wimmler of Sheboygan; his brother, Charles (Julia) Wimmler of Jacksonville, NC; his sister, Romelda (Paul) Albright of Cleveland.
He was preceded by his brother, Lowell Wimmler and a nephew, Christopher Albright and the family golden retriever, "Kelsey".
Funeral services for Brian held January 30, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. The Reverend Alan Kretschmar, Pastor, will officiate. Burial at Saxon Cemetery in Cleveland.
The last six months we were fortunate to spend a great deal of quality time with Dad. We loved caring for him as he had done for us. We love you and miss you.
