The death of Mrs. Rose Stone, widow of George Stone, occurred Monday morning at 6:30 o'clock in the Marion General hospital where she had been confined for the past five days.
Mrs. Stone was born in Wabash March 20, 1883 to Philip and Susan (Shilling) Schlemmer. She was married to Mr. Stone Oct. 11, 1902. He preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1930.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gene Knotts, North Manchester, one son, Philip Stone, Wabash, one half-brother, Ernest Schlemmer, Fort Wayne, one half-sister, Mrs. Orpha Cartwright, Elkhart, and four grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Evangelical Church where services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Elmer Smith officiating. The body will be taken from the Hoover Funeral home to the family residence, 1311 Adams street, Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
