Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. James Fallon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Lucinda Mason.
Mr. Alex was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was a handyman that could fix just about anything and enjoyed working, planting his orange trees, and driving his family and friends to their destinations. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Alex and wife, Barbara, of Thibodaux, and Donald Alex and wife, Alice, of St. Martinville; three daughters, Rita Alex and husband, Allen, of Irving, TX, Shirley A. Infante, of Beaumont, TX, and Barbara Noel, of St. Martinville; four sisters, Daisy Sylvester, Thelma Celestine, Beatrice Derouselle, and Rose Noel, all of Breaux Bridge; 25 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Arceneaux Alex; parents, Henry and Antoinia Noel Alex; and a brother, Dalton Alex.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Donald Alex, Jr., Michael Noel, Renaldo Wiltz, Jr., and Corey Wiltz.
