A. Carpenter
Adeline (Addie) Carpenter died last Thursday in Mason General Hospital at the age of 87 years. She was born July 23, 1888 in Meredith, Michigan.
Before coming to Shelton four years ago, Mrs. Carpenter had been a resident of Granite Falls for 74 years. On July 29, 1903 she was married to A. I. Carpenter, A Granite Falls pioneer who preceded her in death in 1964. She was a member of the Free Thought Spiritualist Church.
Mrs. Carpenter is survived by a son, Lytton Carpenter of Granite Falls; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Carpenter of Marysville, Washington; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.
A service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Batstone Funeral Home. Burial was in Shelton Memorial Park.
