MANTI--Our beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Erma Rose Bartholomew Sorenson, 79, passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 1999, following a short illness.
She was born March 14, 1919 in Manti to John Edward and Annie Marie Bartholomew. She married Orrin LaMar Sorenson on Dec. 9, 1943 in Manti. Later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Manti 4th Ward where she served as a nursery leader, a visiting teacher and a choir member. she had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to talk and be around people. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.Survived by children: John Sorenson, Manti; Alice Jean (Ross) Hansen, Ephraim; Patsy Ann (Scott) Miles, Redding, CA; Stella Louise (Dennis) Hill, Gunnison; Orrin Larry (Kathy) Sorenson, Magna; and Rose Marie (Terry) Hughes, Chouteau, OK; a brother, Don Bartholomew, Manti; and a sister, Iola Colby, Sigurd, UT. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Keith Lee.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999 at 12 noon in the Manti LDS Tabernacle. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Manti City Cemetery. Funeral directors Buchanan Mortuary.
