Mrs. Clawson died Tuesday, Feb. 2, in a Temple hospital.
She was born on Sept. 24, 1922, to Jack and Lena Parks Hopson in Meridian. She attended Business College and the University of Texas. On Oct. 9, 1943, she married Gayle Clawson in Salinas, Calif. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Temple, where she was active in Women on Missions, Triple L, Sunday School, Round Table, Bible Study and the Senior Adult Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 26, 2009.
Survivors include a son, Dorian Clawson of Mart; three daughters, Gina Winkler of West Lake, La., Eva Jo Payne of Valrico, Fla., and Pansy Durtschi of Dallas; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at noon prior to the service.
