Allan was the second son of Euna Fae Riley and Loren K. Van Buren, born in Springfield Missouri. Allan served in the U.S. Army as Helicopter pilot, stationed in Georgia, Alabama and Viet Nam, Allan attended Southwest MissourI Collage in Springfield Missouri, was a talented singer, He worked in Production Management and was very active in the church. Allan was married to Marilyn Compton in 1962, they had two children, Wesley Allan and Aaron Lee. Allan died in a plane crash while working as a Cargo Carrier, He was buried in East Lawn Cemetery in Springfield Missouri. both his parents are buried there as well.
