Parents are Ronald Cummings and Crystal Sheffield. maternal grandmother Marie Griffis.

Haleigh, who has blonde hair and brown eyes, weighed 39 pounds and was 3 feet tall when she was last seen by her younger brother, father and father's girlfriend at her father's home in Satsuma, which is about 75 miles east of Gainesville.

On February 9th, 2009, five year old Haleigh Cummings disappeared from her trailer home in the middle of the night. The next morning, dozens of law enforcement personnel combed the woods adjacent to her home, looking for any signs of the missing child. Days later, on an anonymous tip, authorities began questioning the cousin of Misty Croslin, Haleigh's father's girlfriend, who was visiting when the child disappeared. Neither investigation turned up any leads. Since her disappearance, authorities have received more than 350 leads and offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to her safe return.

As of Sunday, no news of Haleigh has surfaced and police have scaled back the search. Her paternal grandmother, Teresa Neves, issued an emotional appeal sobbing, "I want to say to my baby, we love you sweetheart, and we will find you."
