Opal McKnight Hill, age 94, Wilson Avenue, Cynthiana, died Friday, October 2, 2009, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus. Born in Harrison County, March 29, 1915, to the late James E. and Mattie Corbin McKnight, she was a former sales clerk for The Clara Shop, Foley's Furniture and Georgia's Gifts and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cynthiana. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Hill; a son, James Edward Hill; a brother, James William McKnight and two sisters, Nancy McKnight Hunt and Esther McKnight Brunker.

She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Rees (Ben) Flora, Morehead; a sister, Ruth McKnight Weigel, Louisville; four grandchildren, Derek A. Flora, Vivian C. Cyrus, Keith E. Flora and Jeff M. Flora and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home by Pastor Jimmy Owens. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Cynthiana or the Cedar Ridge Health Campus Assisted Living Activity Fund.
