Floyd E. "Doc" Adams, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, February 5, 2010.
He was born in Hustonville, KY on January 1, 1923, son of the late James Wesley and Lenora (Cummins) Adams.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Peterson; and wife, Thelma, to whom he was married for 67 years.
He was a Sergeant of the 9th Flying Control Squadron, serving the United States Army during WWII and retired after 38 years of dedication to Citizens Gas.
Doc will be lovingly remembered by his surviving brother, Charles (Phyllis) Adams; and sisters, Jeanette Dusing, and Shirley Campfield.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2010, at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, with services at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Doc will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley.
