(1920 - 2010)

Robert K. Moore, age 89, formerly of 1314 Grand Ave., currently residing at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Shady Lane surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on May 31, 1920, in Green Bay, son of the late Edgar and Rose (DeVolder) Moore. He graduated from Green Bay West High School with the class of 1938. On Dec. 6, 1942, he married the former Irene Vandenboom at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on Jan. 31, 2009. Bob was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company as an assistant credit manager, retiring after 34 years. Bob served in the United States Navy during WWII in the North Atlantic. He was on the Board of Directors of Manitowoc Community Credit Union for over 30 years. Bob was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Manitowoc Council 710. For 10 years, Robert served on St. Andrews Parish Boy Scout and Cub Scout Council. Bob was an usher for over 50 years at the former St. Andrew Parish. Bob was a member of the Manitowoc Eagles Club Aerie No. 706. Bob was an avid Packers fan; home gardener and he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Judie McConnell, Two Rivers; Mary Kay and Allen Kubsch, Manitowoc; three sons and daughters-in-law; Tom and Kay Moore, Manitowoc; Ronn and Lou Ann Moore, Whitelaw; James and Josette Moore, Green Bay; 13 grandchildren; Michael McConnell, Steven McConnell, Allison (Jeff) Stindt, Joel (Renee) Kubsch, Ryan (Laura) Kubsch, Shanna Kubsch, Tim (Sandy) Moore, Brian Moore, Anthony Moore, Patrick (Katie) Moore, April (Thomas) Lara, Megan Moore, Kellen Moore; 17 great- grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, a special cousin, Chris Ihnat and many friends also survive.

Bob was also preceded in death by one granddaughter; Pamela McConnell, one son-in-law; Jerry McConnell and a half brother; Curtis Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Daniel Schuster with entombment to follow at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum where graveside military rites will be accorded by the V.F.W. Otto Oas Post No. 659.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Robert's name.

The family wishes to thank the many caring and loving staff members, especially Pat Nickels and Michael Christel of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc for their care and compassion shown towards Bob and his family.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
