Dale G. Gilbertson, age 69, of 1418 S. 22nd Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.

He was born on November 16, 1940, in Fond du Lac, son of the late Gordon and Delores (Krautkramer) Gilbertson.

Dale graduated from Brillion High School.

On September 18, 1999 he married the former Beverly Schneider at 1st Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc.

Dale was employed with several different trucking companies for over 35 years, including Chizek Transportation which he retired from after 23 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Gilbertson, Manitowoc; a son, Dan Gilbertson, Denver, Colorado; two step-sons, Bruce (Kathy) Schneider, Sheboygan, Brian Schneider, Brillion; two step-daughters, Teresa (Rodney) Fish, Two Rivers, Tammy (Jeff) Korte, Manitowoc; twelve step-grandchildren, Jenny, Susan, Travis, Amy Jo, Mark, Nic, Adam, Paul, Mallory, Matthew, Amber and Lindsay; nine step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis (Mary) Gilbertson, Sulpher Springs, Texas, Gary (Joy) Gilbertson, Brillion; two special friends, Abel and Dick; along with his two dogs, Kessley and Sammie. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Dale was also preceded in death by his first wife, Diane (Sauer) Gilbertson on July 13, 1992.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 1, 2010 at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Pastor Richard Runge. Cremation will occur after the service at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and burial of the cremated remains will be at St. Luke Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chilton, at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends at 1st Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc, from 9:00 A.M. Monday, February 1, 2010 until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
