Major Robert B. Bustard, 41, husband of Flora Trapanier Bustard, died suddenly in Germany on May 25 of a coronary thrombosis.
A career Army officer with 13 1/2 years service, he had been in Germany since September, 1958 as executive officer of the 85th Ordinance Battalion. Prior to that he served in Korea, the Aleutian Islands and many posts in the United States, but principally at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, where he was instructor for several years at the Field Artillery School.
Born in Paterson, November 13, 1917, he was educated in St. Bonaventure Grammar School and New York University. He was a member of Totowa Borough Memorial Post 227 American Legion, whose services will be at 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. from the Aquino Colonial Funeral Home, 236 Union Ave. A half hour later a High Requiem Mass will be offered in St. Bonaventure R. C. Church. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends may call today 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
Surviving are his widow, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles (Laurette) Finamore, his mother, Mrs. Lucia A. Bustard, a brother, Vincent T. Bustard, two grandchildren, Michelle and Charlene Finamore.
