MATTINGLY FUNERAL AT SAINT ROSE
Joseph Thomas Mattingly, 75, died at Veterans Hospital in Louisville Thursday night, June 10, 1971. He was a farmer in St. Rose community and veteran of World War I. The remains rested in Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward Graves and Mrs. Rose Kelty; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Mattingly and Mrs. Clara Borders, Springfield, and Mrs. Mollie Miles, Louisville; five brothers, George Mattingly, Fredericktown; Joe and John Mattingly, Bardstown; Paul Mattingly, Louisville; and Winfield Mattingly, Taylorsville. Mr. Mattingly was twice married, his first to Miss Mary Elizabeth Gootee, who died 44 years ago; his second to Miss Mary Lillie Graves, who died September 26, 1967. The funeral Mass was said at 10 o'clock Monday morning, June 14, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Rev. Jerome Conroy, O.P., officiating. Interment was in St. Francis Cemetery at St. Francis. Pallbearers were Jimmie, John and Gene Mattingly, Thomas and Joe Kelty and Paul Borders.
