Graveside service for Foster O. Bither, a retired inspector for the Bonneville Power Administration, will be at 2 p.m., Monday at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sherwood. He was 84.
Mr. Bither died Friday at his Sherwood home where he had lived for the past 45 years. A native of Oxnard, Calif., he was educated in Coquille. During World War I, he moved to Portland and later to Medford and Klamath Falls.
In 1936, he moved to Montana to work for the U.S. Corps of Engineers. He retired in 1962 from the power administration. Mr. Bither was a member of the Oregon Agate and Mineral Society, Masonic Lodge and attended Cross Roads Bible Church.
Surviving are a son, Forest C. of Sherwood; daughters, Myrna F. Lutz of Bay City, Janice C. Reber of Dayton and Dolores Scott of Sherwood; sister, Gladys Bilyeu of Albany; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
