Mrs. Horatio Schmoyer, of Alburtis, died suddenly on Saturday night, after she had returned from a ride in an automobile. Death was due to apoplexy. She was forty-nine years, two months and twenty-three days of age. Mr. Schmoyer had just recently purchased a new automobile, and the family had taken a short ride. It was while the ride was in progress that she started to complain of not feeling well. The trip home was made immediately. She expired in the house before medical aid could reach her. Besides the husband, she is survived by her father, Charles Wetzel, of near Wescoesville; and the following children: Charles, of Fleetwood; Mrs. Charles Conrad, of Alburtis; Mrs. W. L. Maurer, of Indianapolis, Ind.; Sallie, of Catasauqua; Meta, Edna, Clarence and Bertha, at home. Two brothers: Oscar Wetzel, of Wescoesville, and Ellsworth Wetzel, of Macungie, and two sisters: Mrs. George Stern, of Bally, and Mrs. Harvey Dierolf, of Bechtelsville, also survive, as do five grandchildren. Deceased was a member of the Longswamp church, Reformed wing. The funeral will be held from her late home, Second street, Alburtis, on Thursday morning at 9.30 o'clock, with further services and burial at Longswamp church. Rev. Meckstroth will officiate.
