ASHLAND - Carlton J. Legassie, 65, died Feb. 6, 2010, at a Presque Isle hospital after a long illness. He was born Dec. 27, 1944, in Sheridan, son of Stewart J. and Sophie M. (Baker) Legassie Sr. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator at Pinkham Lumber Co. for many years. Carlton is survived by one son, Cory Legassie of Portland; one daughter, Lena Legassie of Orrington; one sister, Joanne Soucier of Fort Fairfield; six brothers, Glenn, Raynold, Milton and Milford Legassie, all of Presque Isle, Stewart Jr. and Richard Legassie, both of South Portland; and one grandson, Michael of Orrington.
