Arrived in Philadelphia on Sep 26, 1732, with brother Phillip. Albrecht was age 21 and brother Phillip was 19 years of age. Johan Phillip left a bible which gave his birth as Sep 13, 1713. Soon after arrival they settled in Bern township of Berks County and took up large tracts of land, part of which was still held by the family in 1909.
Albrecht took up a tract of 350 acres upon which he settled and reared a large family. He married (Maria) Anna Margaret Zerbe and reared 11 children. His wife Anna Margaret came with her father martin Zerbe from Schoharie, N.Y. in 1723.
Albrecht was a prominant man in the area during his time and his writings denoted that he was an educated man. He was naturalized on Sep 24, 1755. He died shortly before May 7, 1787. His wife died close to that time as well.
