Joe A. Brookins
Joe A. Brookins, age 80, of 2713 Martin Lane, Duncan, died Monday, September 12, 1988, in Duncan after a long illness.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche, with Father Paul Gillespie officiating. Masonic graveside service will be conducted by the Duncan Lodge. Arrangements are by Carter-Smart Funeral Home, Duncan.
Mr. Brookins was born Aug. 31, 1906, at Hastings. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were married on June 14, 1973, in Duncan. Mr. Brookins was a member of the Sloam Masonic Lodge No. 276 and was self-employed.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, of the home, and several nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge.
