He died at his camp near Triangle park on the Globe Miami highway from a self inflicted bullet wound. Despondency over financial matters is believed to have been the cause. He was survived by his wife, Tiney; son, David; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Covey; and eight sisters.
