David Felix Spalding, 81, Lebanon, died at 4:40 a.m. April 24, 2004, at Harrodsburg Health Care Manor in Harrodsburg. Born May 5, 1923, in Marion County, Spalding was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas Elder and Elizabeth Mattingly Spalding; three sisters, Bennie, Imogene and Rebecca Spalding; and five brothers, Benedict, Theodore, Kermit, Thomas Marion and Aaron Spalding. He is survived by a brother, Hugh C. Spalding of Lebanon. A funeral Mass was held April 26 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Raywick, with burial in the St. Joe Church Cemetery. Rev. Jim Graf officiated. Pallbearers were Greg, Larry, Joe and Hugh Spalding Jr., Larry Mattingly and Henry Ryan. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of the arrangements.
