FRANCIS SPALDING DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS. Francis Theodore Spalding, 55, died at 6 P.M. Sunday, February 16, at a hospital in Danville following a long illness. A native of Marion County, he was a son of Mrs. Elizabeth Mattingly Spalding, Lebanon, and the late Thomas Spalding. He was a farmer. Surviving besides his mother are four brothers, Marion, Aaron and Felix of St. Joseph, and Hugh C. Spalding of Lebanon, and a sister, Rebecca Spalding, Nicholasville. The funeral was conducted at 10 A.M. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church by the Rev. Ernest Schumacher. Burial was in the church cemetery. Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Hugh, Joseph, Thomas and Hamilton Spalding, Henry Cecil and Hugh D. Mattingly. Buried, 2-18-1969, in St. Joseph Church Cemetery, Raywick, Ky; A Single Flat Marker with the inscription: FRANCIS THEODORE SPALDING ; JAN. 7, 1914 - FEB. 16, 1969.
