MARGARET REBECCA SPALDING, 69, Jeffersontown, died at 2:20 A.M., Oct. 10, 1997, at Good Samaritan Center, Jeffersontown. Born Dec. 20, 1927 in Marion County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Elder and Elizabeth Mattingly Spalding; two sisters, Imogene and Bennie Spalding; and five brothers, Benedict, Theodore, Kermit, Marion and Aaron Spalding. Survivors include: two brothers, Hugh Spalding of Lebanon and Felix Spalding of Harrodsburg; and several nieces and nephews. Mass was at 11 A.M., Oct. 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Father Ernie Schumacher officiated. Pallbearers were Larry Mattingly, Gregory Spalding, Jack Beaven, Joseph Spalding, Hugh Spalding and Henry Ryan. Prayers were at 7 P.M., Oct. 12, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, which was in charge of the arrangements.
