THE REV. JOHN E. LAMEK FUNERAL TO BE FRIDAY
Funeral services for the Rev. John E. Lamek, former assistant pastor at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, who died yesterday of complications at Incarnate Word Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Father Lamek, 46 years old, was forced by illness to retire a year ago and since then lived at the home of relatives at 5832 Pamplin avenue. Ordained in 1931 at Kenrick Seminary, he served as assistant pastor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church here, the Sacred Heart Church, Festus, and as chaplain of Incarnate Word Hospital.
Survivors are four sisters, Miss Mae Lamek, Mrs. Rose Pottinger, Mrs. Frances Diemert and Mrs. Raymond Franzer.
